Ziegler IT provides underlying IT solutions to enable Ziegler’s transport, logistics and supply chain management services. Ziegler IT has 130+ IT experts to build and maintain the IT solutions such as Transport Management System, Warehouse Management System, Customer Portal, Integration, etc. These solutions are complemented by a set of fit-for-purpose external purchased systems integrated in a seamless fashion.

Ziegler IT develops and manages a wide range of enterprise finance systems from transactional accounting system to analytical reporting, in order to fulfill the operation and management needs.

Purpose of the position:

The purpose of the role is to obtain and maintain excellent product knowledge from Ziegler in-house developed and externally purchased finance systems in order to enhance, implement and maintain those systems through day-to-day support and/or end-to-end project management. Ziegler finance systems encompasses a centralized accounting system, automated AP/AR processes, customer base, transactional/analytical finance reporting as well as integration with banks and 3rd parties.

  • Enhance: contribute to the continuous development of the finance systems
  • Implement: set up and roll out the finance systems, train the users and manage the implementation projects
  • Maintain: make the system and process knowledge available to Ziegler global organization.

Key tasks:

  • Obtain and maintain excellent product knowledge about Ziegler finance systems from the in-house development factory and external vendors.
  • Design and develop the knowledge transfer frameworks towards the global operations organization (15 countries).
  • Create and maintain the full set of user documentation (user manual, sales material, etc.).
  • Organize and conduct user training based on a well-defined framework.
  • Create, develop and manage routine relationship with the business stakeholders.
  • Manage external vendors and underlying delivery.
  • Collect, analyze and inject user requirements and customer needs.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Test and provide release notes.
  • Measure user satisfaction based on quantitative and qualitative framework.
  • Participate in the application roadmap and footprint definition including the embedding of the systems into the overall IT strategy.
  • Continuous benchmark Ziegler finance systems and processes with the best practice in the market.
  • Act as project manager in implementation or transformation projects.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Educational background:
              • Master degree or equivalent experiences
  • Professional experiences:
              • Minimum 5 years in finance & accounting with minimum 2 years in a process / IT related position
  • Languages:
              • English, good knowledge of French, Dutch or German is a plus
  • Professional competencies:
              • Subject matter expert in finance and accounting IT
              • Capable to translate business requirements into functional specifications
              • Excellent project management knowledge and practice
              • Analytical and process oriented
              • Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Computer Literacy:
              • Sound knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
              • Sound knowledge in finance / accounting systems (e.g. SAP)
              • Knowledge in Agile Development (Scrum / SAFe)
              • Basic knowledge in the concept of EDI and customer integration
  • Mobility :
              • Travel 10% – 20% depending on the home location
